Starting October 2, AWPS Gallery will host the exhibition "Close-Up" by Frédéric Léglise. Known for his female nudes and portraits, Léglise will revisit and quote his own works by cropping certain details and repainting them on a larger scale. For the painter, this is an opportunity to re-examine the classic concept of portait, to engage in a dialogue with abstraction, and to play with the notion of scale, much like transitioning from a wide shot to a close-up in film. We hope this exhibition, his first solo show in Korea in seven years, will provide an opportunity to connect with many audiences.
