Leonardo Marcos is a multidisciplinary artist. He makes films, photographs, digital installations and directs stage productions.
He places poetry at the forefront of his practice. Inspired by classical art, his pieces combine mannerism and new technologies. His artistic style is elegant and mostly dedicated to his primary source of inspiration: women. From Caroline de Monaco to Sophie Marceau or even Arielle Dombasle, countless personnalities lend him their image.
Pierre Passebon's Galerie du Passage in Paris has held many of his exhibitions. The Petit Palais, the Musée de la Vie romantique, the Musée Jean-Jacques Henner, le Collège des Bernardins, the church Saint-Merry, the Musée national de la Marine and EP 7 have all requested from him performances and exceptionnal events.
He is regularly invited to cultural events like the parisian Nuit blanche, the Printemps des poètes or the Journée internationale des droits des femmes, organised by the french ministry of culture.
He has published three books combining writings and photography: "Images publiques, images privées" with Catherine Robbe-Grillet, "Les Filles du cahier volé" with Régine Deforges, and his latest publication "La galerie des beautés" with a series of thirty portraits of women and poems.
