Frédéric Léglise belongs to the new generation of artists focusing on a return to painting. He starts by photographing his female models, captured in the intimacy of a sometimes barely-suggested nudity. The women emerge from a plain white background in a palette of acid colours and pastels that have come to characterise the artist’s work.
